Computers & The Library
Public Computers and Internet Access
The Mokena Community Public Library District has Internet accessible computers available for all ages.
- The Adult computers are in our Upstairs Computer Room.
- The Young Adult computers are located behind the Reference Desk
- The Children Computers are located downstairs infront of the Cirulation Desk.
We also have computers with education games for the smaller children, located in Childrens Play Room.
Patrons must register at the circulation desk before using a computer and must be familiar in its use. We also have a scanner available for public use.
There are also filtered Internet accessible computers for children located in the downstairs Children's Department. The library is not responsible for any information children may select. (Please read our Internet Disclaimer .) Parents and their children are encouraged to read "CHILDPROOF INTERNET" and "A PARENT'S GUIDE TO THE INTERNET." These books and other printed sources regarding the Internet are available in the library.
Photocopiers and Fax Machines
There are public photocopier machines available in the Library. Copies are 15 cents each. Copy cards, convenient for those who use the copy machines often, are 50 cents and are reusable.
There is a facsimile machine available for public use. The library's FAX number is 708.479.9684. We do have some fees for the fax machine.
Within the United States: $1.00 per page sent. Mokena Community Public Library District may fax up to 10 pages free.
$1.00 per page received: Mokena Community Public Library District may receive up to 10 pages free, per day.
International Fax: $5.00 for first page, $3.00 for each additional page.
