Children, Teens and Adults, there will be something special for everyone! Great Programs and Great Prizes too. Registration begins Friday June 8, 2012 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. and continues throughout the program.
"Reading Is So Delicious" Children’s Summer Reading Program for Pre-K through Grade 8. Participants in the program are encouraged to read and record their minutes. As a reward, prizes are given for each reading log completed. The more you read, the more prizes you earn!
We will also have delicious programs weekly so remember to sign up early, you don’t want to miss out on any of the food and fun. In order to attend the summer reading programs, you must join the reading club.
"You Read" High School Summer Reading Program for Grades 9-12. Great Prizes for high school students, who read and attend our events. Each book read will earn the reader a raffle ticket to be used towards the prize of the reader’s choice! Each event attended counts for one book read.

Chef Michael Niksic ignited the Mesquite Grilling cooking wave that swept the Chicago area in the 80’s. Check out why, as he shares his knowledge of how to apply it in your own backyard.
Program Covers: Grill preparation, building a fire, choosing good utensils, myth busting, cool recipes for seasoning blends, a tremendous marinade recipe and the making of a multifaceted grilled vegetable salad. Recipes will be given out. One lucky person will go home with grilling Goodies!
George’s Secrets to Successful Fishing

Professional angler and Shimano Field Representative, George Jacobek, will teach you the ins and outs of fishing local lakes. George will share his knowledge of:
· Baiting hooks from pole to water to fish
· Information on area lakes and the proper way to fish these lakes.
· There will be a drawing for REEL prizes
After the Catch, Georges Secret Recipes
Saturday, July 21, 2012 from 1:00-2:00p.m.
Professional angler and Shimano Field Representative, George Jacobek will be back at the library to host "After the Catch, Georges Secret Recipes". He gave you the secrets of fishing in local lakes, now he will teach you how to filet and prepare your catch and also share a few of his secret recipes. All attendees will be entered in to a drawing for an electric fish cooker.
