Privacy Policy Regarding Web and E-mail Communications

The Mokena Community Public Library District is committed to protecting the privacy of the people who use the library, and who communicate with us electronically via e-mail or the Web. Except when compelled by a court order, we do not share personal information about our users with any other outside organizations. Any personal information we may collect about library users is viewed only by staff members for the library's internal use only.

When an online form is completed for the purpose of contacting us we collect information from the respondent for the purpose of answering a reference or other question or registering a person for a program and the user information is then deleted.

The Web site contains hyperlinks to web sites created and maintained by organizations other than the Mokena Community Public Library District. These links are provided for your reference and convenience only. The Mokena Community Public Library District  does not control other web sites and is not responsible for their content; nor does the Mokena Community Public Library District’s  inclusion of links to such web sites imply any endorsement of the material, products, or services on the web sites or any association with their operators.

Mokena Community Public Library District will not share, sell, rent or reveal any personal information to any outside party.

Security

The Library has reasonable physical, electronic, and managerial measures in place to prevent unauthorized access to the information we collect. We do not, however, claim any responsibility for information collected by or from websites linking to or from the Library's website.
